I had two sources of inspiration for this week's String Thing challenge: First of all, Adele Bruno mentioned that the string she chose might lend itself to drawing a "tile within a tile". As I had never done that and could clearly see her point, that was what I was going to do. While I juggled the suggested patterns in my head I remembered reading something somewhere about a spirally kind of grid and decided to dig that up again and use it for Beelight. (Edit: I just realised that in the original post the grid was used on beelight as well n on of the example pictures. Even if it looks a bit different. I hope Sandra Chatelain takes this as a compliment.)
I am actually quite pleased at how the tile turned out. The string to be used was No 043 and the patterns were Beadlines, Beelight, Beeline and Betweed. Beeline was the only one I couldn't fit in there. I have to say, that I found the spiral grid quite fiddly in the beginning and had to find my own way to do it so that it was evenly spaced enough for my taste. But I can definitely see myself using it for other grid patterns as well.
